migrants vote, Joe Biden Apologized

During his State of the Union Address last week, Joe Biden had a brief moment of honesty when he described the Venezuelan national charged with the murder of a 22-year-old Georgia college student as “an illegal.”

After his remarks, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rushed to the set of CNN to correct Joe Biden.

“He should have said undocumented,” Nancy Pelosi explained.

Joe Biden quickly followed suit with an apology to the killer during an interview with MSNBC.

“[He’s] An undocumented person. And I shouldn’t have used ‘illegal.’ It’s ‘undocumented,’” Joe Biden said, adding he regretted using the term “illegal.”

For a considerable period, the political left along with their media counterparts have wielded language in a calculated manner concerning the matter of unauthorized immigration.

As per the statutes of the United States, “illegal alien” stands as the precise legal and factual terminology designated for individuals residing within the United States without proper permission or authorization. Remarkably, volumes of legal documentation employ this very phrase extensively.

“Federal immigration law uses the term ‘illegal alien.’ For example, 8 U.S.C. §1365 is a provision that deals with a reimbursement program the federal government has for states that are incarcerating illegal aliens. Its very title refers to ‘illegal aliens,’ and that term is used in the statute itself, which defines an illegal alien as anyone ‘who is in the United States unlawfully,’” the Heritage Foundation documents. “The Supreme Court, which has decided numerous cases involving federal immigration law, also uses the correct, precise legal term of ‘illegal alien.’”

Nevertheless, there remains a conspicuous absence of the appropriate terminology from the lexicon of policymakers responsible for legislating, or from President Biden’s administration, which bears the crucial responsibility of safeguarding the nation’s borders.

Across mainstream media outlets and wire services such as the Associated Press — which disseminate stories to numerous publications and news platforms — there’s a persistent trend of linguistic alterations aimed at placating leftist sensibilities and downplaying the detrimental impacts of unlawful immigration.

The terminology has undergone a notable shift from “illegal alien” to a spectrum of euphemistic alternatives like “migrants,” “undocumented immigrants,” “undocumented Americans,” “newcomers,” and other grossly inaccurate descriptors. This strategic maneuver represents an endeavor to downplay the gravity of trespassing national borders and diminish the sanctity of U.S. citizenship.

Here at The First Light Report, we use correct language to report on illegal immigration. We will never apologize for properly classifying those who illegally enter the country as illegal aliens. Especially when charged with murder of American citizens.
